Snow!

Let's all pretend it hasn't been 3 weeks since I updated this blog, mmmkay?

It's snowing! Finally! And I'm up early for a change. Now it feels like Christmas time. :)

Wet but happy

It's snowing at home, but here with my family in Washington it's raining as usual! I'm here for another few days and I've had a great time with my parents and my "babies..." Baby #1 turned 18 last weekend! I can't believe my little brother is a grown man now. HOLY CRAP.

This photo isn't anything special. It was just taken on my phone, and I didn't try to make it fancy. But it shows how so many days are here with my family. Luckily, we have a cozy home here and I can listen to the rain outside from my little sister's bedroom, where I'm typing from right now. :)

Halloween bonfire

Last night we had a wonderful bonfire with my best friend and her family. We spent hours just relaxing, eating treats, talking and singing and having an overall lovely evening. I LOVE photographing fire. It's so cool! Plasma is such an interesting element. And no two pictures look alike!

Credit goes to my husband for the heart picture... I got the idea and set it up, but he snapped it of my hands. Thanks, honey!

More beautiful fall colors!

I took two pictures today that I absolutely love. They remind me how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful area, especially come fall. The first is of part of our backyard. That's what I see out by bedroom window every morning. :) The second is a lovely old LDS meetinghouse in downtown Provo. I drove by it today and had to stop because look at that fall-colored ivy!

Starry night

My husband just made a late-night run to the store and when he got home, he told me to come outside and look east. I did, and I saw a beautiful clear night sky with a bright moon. Gorgeous! I love the lens flare in this photo. Standing under the stars with my sweetie made for a perfect, peaceful moment.

Our Halloween decorations

It's a bit early, yes, but I wanted to decorate before my husband and I head to Disneyland next week! It's his favorite holiday, so I love decorating and seeing his face light up. I had a lot of fun this year!

I've been neglecting my blog!

Now that I'm well enough to take portraits again, I'm hoping to start posting those! For today, my husband and I drove to see some fall colors in the canyon. Absolutely beautiful.

"Do you play... croquet?"

I always think of one of my favorite stories, Alice in Wonderland, when I see a game of croquet! My best friend's family had a fall party yesterday and set up the croquet mallets, and I snapped a picture. It was a beautiful day.

Mountain sunset

Pretty much a perfect evening. Hopefully there will be many more before the cold weather sets in!

Squaw Peak sunshine

Yesterday, my husband and I drove up to Squaw Peak. It was cold and the colors were lovely. We stood at the top and looked out over the whole city and it was beautiful. Then the clouds parted and sunshine came down and it was even prettier.

 

Fall colors in Utah

Yesterday my husband and I drove the Alpine Loop to see the fall colors that came in while we were on vacation. Wow, it was beautiful! This photo was taken at Cascade Springs. We hadn't been in years and it was a perfect day to enjoy the air and the views.

Avila Valley Barn

While in CA visiting friends and family last week, my BFF and her husband took us to Avila Valley Barn. We had a great time enjoying the sun, taking a hayride and picking apples. It was such a picturesque area right near the ocean. The apples were delicious, too. And so was the ice cream. :)

After the crazy storm we had last night, this afternoon was breezy and perfectly blue and cloudy. It made for awesome pictures!
